Communication plays a vital role in the world of agriculture. This course will be beneficial to students interested in pursuing a career in agriculture communications or journalism, or to those interested in building additional communications skills. In addition, leadership skills that will be essential for a successful future career will be established.
Students successfully completing this course will:
1. Gain skills in oral and written communication strategies, thinking and writing skills, and public speaking.
2. Learn about Advertising, Marketing, and Public Relations in the Agriculture Industry.
3. Explore electronic media, including web page development, desktop publishing, radio production, print communication, and multimedia.
4. Develop leadership skills through program development.
