Prerequisite: Horticulture and/or instructor’s permission

Grade: 11, 12
The Advanced Horticulture class will allow students to broaden the skills and knowledge of the Horticulture industry that they acquired in Horticulture. Emphasis will be given to the Landscaping and Floral Design Industries.
Students successfully completing this course will:
1. Correctly identify landscaping and floral design plants.
2. Be able to install and maintain bedding plants, trees, shrubs, turf grasses, ground covers, vines, and perennials.
3. Create floral arrangements using principles of design, utilizing both live and silk flowers.
4. Complete landscape site evaluations.
