The Kansas Parent Information Resource Center
By Khris Thexton
The Parent Involvement Policy of No Child Left Behind, Title I, Section 1118, part (g) requires that "LEAs and schools receiving Title I funds shall assist parents and parental organizations by informing them of the existence and purpose of the Kansas Parent Information Resource Center."
The Kansas Parent Information Resource
Center, federally funded under Title V of No Child Left Behind, is
the official Parent Involvement Technical Assistance Center for
Kansas. We are one of a national network of 60 PIRCs across the
United States and are funded for five more years (2006 through
2011). The KPIRC works hand-in-hand with the KSDE State and Federal
Programs office in providing you information and resources on early
childhood through high school parent involvement.
