ABOUT ME:
I like to spend time with my family: husband, Gene; and daughters, Lindsey & Haylee. Summer 2010 I was selected by National Geographic to participate in their National Teacher Leadership Academy on Oceans. I spent a week in California during Summer 2010 and a week in Washington D.C in Summer 2011 learning about the ecology of oceans from experts in the field.
HOBBIES:
I enjoy home decorating, sewing, gardening, oil painting, reading, traveling, and digital scrap booking.
AWARDS:
- Outstanding Biology Teacher Award for State of Kansas, presented by the Kansas Association of Biology Teachers and the National Association of Biology Teachers
- 2007 - 2008 Distinguished Adjunct Faculty Member for Highland Community College
