PTO FLOATS IT!
by SueAnn Wanklyn
The trailer & truck waiting, the straw unloaded and lined up, and the PTO members taping posters on the sides of the trailer. All we need now are the students who will be riding the float in the homecoming parade. Wait - Mr. Lord has just dismissed those students and here they come at a rapid pace.
This was the scene Friday (Sept. 26) afternoon at the Marysville Elementary School. Each year the PTO asks the elementary classes to design and create a poster to show their school spirit in support of the football game that follows that evening. These posters are hung on the sides of the trailer that transports the selected students through the Homecoming parade route. Not only do the students get to ride, but PTO members are encouraged to ride as well to help with the little ones.
Thanks to everyone involved, the parade went without incident.
