SOS (Start of Seventh) Day
Orientation to our Junior High
by Molly Ryan
On Thursday, August 14th, the 7th grade students didn't have to set foot in a classroom. They spent the day getting familiar with the routines, locations, and expectations of MJHS. To start off the day, the students were welcomed by Ms. Scarbrough and learned how to use their lockers including a practice session. They then learned about the expectations of the cafeteria, participated in teaming activities, heard introductions from the faculty, learned about the planner/passports, learned about the dresscode via a "What Not To Wear" presentation, and were introduced to the "Wii Are Family" theme for this year.
This was a great day for the class to relax and learn about the school as a whole and it was planned and carried out with the help of our BLT (Building Leadership Team).
