Marshall County Junior Miss 2008
Welcome to the Jungle

“Welcome to the Jungle” is the theme for the Marshall County Junior Miss program this year. The program will be held on May 31, 2008 at 7 p.m. in the Marysville High School Auditorium. Admission for the program will be $3.
There are 9 girls competing for the title of Marshall County Junior Miss 2008. The first contestant is Sarah Thomas, daughter of George and Stacie Thomas. She attends Frankfort High School. Her little sister is Erin Rombeck. The second contestant is Cassi FitzGerald, daughter of Kelly and Sue FitzGerald. She attends Marysville High School. Her little sister is Haley Bruna. The third contestant is Shannon Mangnall, daughter of Jim and Barb Mangnall. She attends Marysville High School. Her little sister is Alex Denner. The fourth contest is Nicole Mattingly, daughter of Lee and Cindy Mattingly. She attends Marysville High School. Her little sister is Michaela Forst. The fifth contestant is Shalynn Roady, daughter of Lynn and Sharon Roady. She attends Marysville High School. Her little sister is Taylor Douglas. The sixth contestant is Angela Sutton, daughter of Leonard and Romelia Sutton. She attends Marysville High School. Her little sister is Holly Holthaus. The seventh contestant is Abby Broxterman, daughter of Paul and Diane Broxterman. She attends Marysville High School. Her little sister is Avery Williams. The eighth contestant is Michelle Gerstner, daughter of Dan and Jeanie Gerstner. She attends Frankfort High School. Her little sister is Sarah Roberts. The ninth contestant is Rachel Rayner, daughter of Hansel Rayner and Marcie Chaudhry. She attends Marysville High School. Her litter sister is Katherine Lauer.
They are judged in different events that include: "Be Your Best Self" Essay, Interview, Scholastics, Talent, Self Expression, and Fitness. Whoever wins the local program will have the option of continuing on to compete in the State Junior Miss program in March of 2009. The winner of the state program will travel to Mobile, Alabama to compete in the National Junior Miss program in June of 2009.
