Baseball Preview

After winning the NCKL and making it to regionals last year, the dogs look to do the same again this year. Brad Hammett will be returning for his fourth year as head coach. Matt Schmelzle will be taking over the assistant coach spot. He will also be coaching the JV. There will be good senior leadership for the dogs this year having 5 returning seniors. Seniors this year will be Caleb Wilson, Landon Wright, Skyler Tjaden, Jake Winkler, and Anthony Wells. There will be two All-League players returning, Seniors Caleb Wilson, and Skyler Tjaden. Caleb Wilson has started since his Freshmen year, and is looked upon for leadership. The pitching staff this year will consist of a 7 person rotation. Caleb Wilson, Landon Wright, Skyler Tjaden, Garrett Green, Cody Schmitz, Jake Felty, and Caleb Blumer.
Head coach Brad Hammett has high expectations for this years team, he thinks they are capable of winning the NCKL, and making it back to state. He wants the team to get better as the season goes on, and to be playing their best baseball at regionals.
