About Me
I have been teaching English for 18 years and every year is more interesting than the previous one. I love reading, researching and helping students develop a love of learning. Currently I am teaching English 8, English 9, and Sewing as Tier III Reading . I love to encourage students to become better readers and life-long learners. We spend much classroom time reading and discussing novels. I also hope to see and hear independent thinking in the classroom.
I am a graduate of University of Kansas and have a Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction from University of Kansas as well. I am also certified as a Media Center Specialist and have approximately 36 hours towards a doctorate in Educational Administration and Leadership at Kansas State University.
My daughter, son, husband and I live near Haddam, Kansas and spend our summers working with livestock and attending basketball games. Both kids are also very active in 4-H.
